Happy Holidays! Just a little bit of love I’m sending your way. These sketches are studies of a pair of American Avocets doing their mating dance! What better image…crossing beaks, male’s wing around her shoulders, both splash-stepping in the shallow water. This image feels very sweet to me.
The pencil studies will help me decide if I they will become a painting, a mosaic, or remain just sketches.
